ESRB accidentally reveals email addresses of Real ID complaintants
In an ironic twist of fate, the ESRB has accidentally revealed the entire list of email addresses belonging to people who sent complaints concerning Blizzard's brief Real ID implementation. Originally a massive community communication system, Real ID allows players to communicate across various games and forums. However, recently, Blizzard announced that Starcraft II and WoW forum users would also have to display their Real ID names. In other words, users would have to show their real names rather than their account IDs. The system was soon retracted, but not before nearly 1,000 users appealed the issue to the ESA's rating group.
