What to do in Los Angeles?

I’m going to be down in Los Angeles for the SIGGRAPH computer graphics conference next week, but I hope to have a little sightseeing free time. What would you recommend seeing or doing in Los Angeles?

I'm the proud owner of a SZ series laptop. I've had it for less than a year now... Your assesment of the quality of this machine is completely wrong. My machine is on it's forth LCD screen, as each one gets annoying bright spots and dead pixels. It's been to Sony three times already. In addition, your praise for the design is misguided. The metal wrist cover causes a problem with the electrostatic touchpad. Sony didn't insulate the touchpad correctly, and over time the cursor will freak out, and invert itself (where down on the touchpad is up). It's a known but non-publicized error with the machine.There are hundreds of complaints about these problems all over the internet (and for all SZ models, mostly in a Cnet forum and a custom blog). The hellish experiences with Sony support...I won't go on. Don't buy one.
